Atlanta, GA – 08/29/2013 – Hollywood and hair intersected at the 66th presentation of Bronner Bros. Mid Summer Hair Show. Industry professionals converged on the GA World Congress Center by the tens of thousands, each day from August 17-20, 2013. Leading industry professionals, including salon owners, stylists, barbers, educators, fashion designers, make-up artists, entertainers, 300 exhibitors and 500 distributors were on hand for four days of sharing knowledge, and raising the bar of excellence, across the hair, barber, fashion and beauty industries.

“As promised, we delivered on our commitment to bring a bigger and better show to our loyal attendees and hair show participants,” stated Bernard Bronner, President and CEO, Bronner Bros. Enterprise. As we educate and provide access to the latest products, through our extensive distributor network, we also use our large gathering to educate the public at-large on issues critical to the African American community.” Bronner Bros. provided education during the convention on HIV/AIDS as part of the CDC’s Act Against AIDSInitiative.

The weekend extravaganza included the following: A Night of Comedy with Rickey Smiley & Friends, the After Party with Laz Alonso,Sunday Morning Service, officiated by Bishop Dale C Bronner, the Word of Faith Choir, and Tramaine Hawkins. Another highlight was the premier screening of the Bronner Bros. movie project, Laughing to the Bank. The inaugural TRENDZ Tournament of Champions Competition was attended by a sold out crowd who watch the winner be presented with a $20,000 prize. “The trends released during the Battle of Champions set the direction for hairstyles in 2013 and beyond,” stated James Bronner. “Each year we innovate the show with current and trending educational workshops while bringing the latest product offerings from leading manufacturers,” said Janet Wallace, show manager.

Ford Motor Company returned as the hair show sponsor, and presented an elated winner with a 2013 Ford Escape. From cutting edge hair, beauty and fashion, to the seminars and workshops, to the numerous national and local celebrities attending each day, the show lived up to what stylists call “The Olympics of Hair.” The next hair show takes place September 29-October 1, 2013 in Dallas, TX.
