On Saturday May 24th , I had the chance to drop in on the Hit the Floor Meet and Greet with Actor Rob Riley presented by Sheen Magazine. Ladies, not only is Mr. Riley nice on the eyes, he is genuinely a sweet and down to earth person. The talented actor literarly just finished shooting the Season Finale, before he boarded a plane and joined us in Atlanta. He is extremely grounded, humble, and all around a great guy. Riley discussed with the small group of bloggers and media professionals his role on VH1’s Hit the Floor, his life and struggles on being an African-American actor, and shared with us his other vices such as playing the guitar, signing, and his new found love of photography.
Sammie and Sandie of Sheen Magazine did an excellent job hosting the event. The atmosphere was light and full of energy as the invited guest joked, danced, and took pictures with Robert Riley. There was also a surprise performance from new female group on the rise Havok Jones singing “What’s It Gonna Be” by En Vogue, which turned out to be one of Riley’s favorite songs.
I would like to thank Sheen Magazine for an awesome event, The Cake Cafe for the great treats, Exclusiv Vodka for the wonderful beverages and last of all Robert Riley for being a great role model for our future. Check out Hit the Floor on VH1 9 pm on Monday nights!
